on starting hammer and chisel

Today, I start The Master's Hammer and Chisel program. I am so incredibly excited! Not only does this program have the type of workouts I like (weights and variety) it also has given AMAZING results to those that have committed it.

I don't think I will have a problem following the workout plan but I will really need to change some habits to stick with the meal plan. I am motivated though - I understand that I need to follow a nutrition plan in order to get the results I want.

There are a few things that I have done to prepare for the next 60 days:

I read all of the materials in my box. I studied the meal plan, the quick-start guide, and the workout calendar as soon as it arrived a few weeks ago. That way, I could slowly start to create a plan in order to be successful.

I created a color-coded meal plan for the first week. The nutrition plan uses color containers just like the 21 day fix. I am glad I have worked with the containers before so meal planning comes naturally. I kept the meals pretty simple so I wasn't spending every night cooking for hours. I want time to hang out with Olivia after work and still workout. I will do this each week.

I created my own workout plan. I didn't change the order of the workouts since I am sure there is a method to the way they created the plan, I just put them on my own calendar. I am starting on a Tuesday versus a Monday so that my rest day is on a Friday. Plus, I wanted something I could take notes on without messing up the original.

I did a few of the workouts. Although I read through the equipment that was needed, I wanted to make sure that it actually worked for the space I was in. I usually workout in my bedroom but I found that it wouldn't really work with the bands when used on the door. So I moved my stuff to the playroom. I also found that the door attachment I bought didn't really work with any of my doors. So I went out and purchased a different one this weekend. I didn't want ANY excuses for why I couldn't complete a workout.

I can't wait to see what the next 60 days have in store for me! Is anyone else starting Hammer and Chisel?
